Estimates on site
From More → Estimates, Estimates → new, or create estimate on a job.
Write the quote
Section titled “Write the quote”- Confirm customer and job (if you started from a job).
- Add labor and material lines (price book when the shop maintains one).
- Save. Status starts as Draft.
You can keep editing a local draft even if the phone has no signal. Avoid using in-app navigation that expects the network right after an offline save — stay on the estimate until it is stored, then return to the job when you are ready.
What you cannot do
Section titled “What you cannot do”Regular technicians cannot convert an estimate into a job. That is owner, admin, or senior technician. Get the quote accepted, then let the shop schedule it.
Offline creates and edits sit in a queue and upload when you are online. Until then, the office may not see the latest total. If sync reports a conflict, do not create a second estimate for the same visit — call the shop.
After the customer says yes
Section titled “After the customer says yes”- Mark the estimate Accepted if you have that control (TODO: confirm techs can set accepted vs office-only).
- Tell dispatch.
- They convert and put it on your schedule.
