Parts
What you see depends on the shop’s inventory mode.
- Off — no van tab, no part logging.
- Job parts — add parts to the job for the invoice; shelves do not move.
- Stock — picking a part consumes van quantity.
On the job
Section titled “On the job”Open the job’s parts list. Scan or search the SKU, enter quantity, save.
If the shop requires parts to complete a job, you must log a part or confirm no parts used before Completed.
Van stock
Section titled “Van stock”Stock tab shows what is on your assigned vehicle. In Stock mode you can only consume from your van. Senior techs may fall back to warehouse if the van is short. You cannot push the van below zero — if the part is not on the truck, do not guess; call the shop.
Returns and transfers
Section titled “Returns and transfers”Returning a part to the van (or transferring between locations) is an inventory movement. Prefer doing this online. Offline movements sync one at a time; a failure is flagged for the office (Alerts) instead of looping forever.
Offline
Section titled “Offline”Picks you make without signal are queued. When you reconnect, Cool Route applies them in order. If two people grabbed the last capacitor, one movement may conflict — stop and let the office fix counts. Do not keep retrying the same pick.
Invoices
Section titled “Invoices”You do not push parts onto invoices. The office copies uninvoiced job parts onto a draft invoice.
